Our mission

Why KT-Digital exists
— and why right now.

We help printing companies move successfully into the digital future — with tools built by people who understand both the craft and the digital world.

Heritage · Since Gutenberg

A craft that shaped this country.

Since Johannes Gutenberg, the printing craft has been one of the foundations of our culture and economy. To this day, hardly any industry, public authority or company is conceivable without printed communication — the print and media industry is rightly considered largely essential. In Germany, around 6,300 mostly small and medium-sized businesses with about 99,000 employees carry this heritage forward, generating revenue of around 16.8 billion euros in 2024 (BVDM estimate).

Behind these numbers are people. Family businesses, often in their second or third generation. Owners who have led their companies through decades — through oil and financial crises, through the shift from hot metal to digital printing, through the pandemic and supply chain chaos. Anyone still running a print shop today has not merely survived crises, but mastered them. We have deep respect for this life's work. It is the starting point for everything we do.

And yet many businesses sense it: the wind has turned. Not because they did anything wrong — but because the market, the technology and the rules around them are changing at a pace hardly any business can manage alone. This is exactly where we come in.

The situation · Named honestly

We know your reality.

We don't talk about the industry — we come from it. That's why we name the challenges as they really are: external forces the entire industry has to face.

That is a lot. But — and this is the decisive point — it can be managed. With the right tools and a partner at your side who understands the industry.

Why us

Why us
— and why this combination.

Practitioner · Printing industry

Thomas Schurzfeld

A practitioner with many years of deep experience in the printing industry. He knows the industry from the inside — the machines on the shop floor, the costing done in the evening, the worries and the pride of an owner. He knows how a job really moves through a business and where it gets stuck.

Marketing · SEO · Digital world

Klaus Huber

An expert in marketing, SEO and the digital world. He understands how customers search, buy and build trust today — and how to make a business visible and competitive online.

From this combination comes something rare: a solution built by people who understand both the craft and the digital future. Not a software team that has never seen a print shop from the inside. And not a digital agency unfamiliar with the reality of production. But both — brought together. Exactly this combination of deep industry knowledge and digital competence is the foundation of our mission.

Our mission

We help printing companies move successfully into the digital future. We tackle the industry's challenges head-on and give businesses concrete solutions and services that let them preserve their craft while staying competitive.

Our promise

As partners, at eye level, in your language.

You are the experts in your craft and your customers — we are your companion for the digital transformation. We don't lecture, we listen. We don't promise miracles; we deliver concrete help that provides tangible relief in everyday work. And we speak your language — not Silicon Valley vocabulary.

We don't believe printing companies are a thing of the past. We believe the opposite: Those who combine their knowledge and craft with the right digital tools have a future. Building these tools and putting them at your side — that is our job.

Let's talk.

The challenges are real, but you don't have to face them alone. If you'd like to know how your business can be made future-proof step by step, we look forward to a conversation — without obligation, at eye level and at your pace.
