Development for print companies · On demand

Software that fits the way your print business works.

Orders are entered twice, a customer requirement does not fit the configurator, or the shop cannot communicate with the MIS. We develop the missing connection or function. A defined assignment extends your systems and frees skilled employees from acting as the link between them.

What we handle

A clear assignment.
Practical delivery.

Shop, MIS and ERP integrations

We examine APIs and data formats and develop connections to MIS, ERP, PIM, CRM, accounting or shipping. We establish which system owns each record, what is transferred and how errors or duplicates are detected. Controlled file transfers can also be an option.

Custom modules and product configurators

Special formats, finishes, quantity rules and dependent options do not always fit standard forms. We develop the agreed function around your production rules. Invalid combinations, incomplete details and the handover to costing are considered together, so the feature supports the actual order process.

B2B portals and approval workflows

We develop or extend closed ordering areas, roles, template access and approval workflows for business customers. The needs of their purchasing team and your order processing staff shape the implementation. We define who may order, edit or approve and which information must remain visible internally.

Internal tools and process dashboards

A focused application can combine open tasks, missing order information or status changes from several systems. We build the necessary forms, workflows or dashboards around a daily task currently spread across spreadsheets, emails and repeated questions.

Testing, documentation and handover

The agreed implementation includes traceable test cases and a clear handover. We test typical exceptions alongside the intended workflow and document interfaces and responsibilities. Maintenance, future extensions and changes to third-party systems are discussed when defining the project scope and ongoing responsibilities.

An example from everyday print business

Example: A B2B order without entering the details again

Starting point

A regular customer orders through a portal. Order processing staff then copy product options and delivery addresses into the MIS. Missing details trigger questions, and several people work on the same handover.

Our assignment

For this scenario, we examine both systems, define required fields and map the information. An integration transfers approved orders. Values that cannot be matched enter a reviewable exception list with a clear explanation.

What changes

The intended result is a defined handover: your team focuses on exceptions and can trace what was received. We use your actual orders to check which manual steps can be removed.

How we work together

From your task to implementation.

  1. Understand the task

We examine the workflow, systems and practical examples to define a focused business and technical requirement.

  2. Agree the implementation

You receive a defined scope with price, dependencies, schedule and acceptance criteria before development begins.

  3. Build and hand over

We implement the function, test relevant cases and introduce the approved change with your team.

FAQ

Questions about this service

Do we need to replace our current software?

Replacement is not a requirement. We first check how your existing systems can be extended. If a system provides no suitable access, we discuss the specific limitations and possible alternatives. An additional component may be enough; replacing a whole system is a separate decision.

Can we commission just one small function?

Yes. A defined module, data transfer or approval step can be an individual assignment. We establish the preparation first. Even a small feature may depend on interfaces, data quality or permissions, so dependencies are considered before work starts.

Do we need a complete specification already?

No. Describe the task, show us a typical order and identify where work gets held up. Together we turn that need into requirements, separating the first usable step from additions that can follow later.

How are costs and later changes handled?

Scope and price are agreed before the assignment. Additional requests or new requirements are assessed separately before implementation. We also discuss maintenance and adjustments following updates to other systems, so you can plan the ongoing work and decide which responsibilities to delegate.
